2010 Spring Fever Classic

We are pleased to announce the dates for the 17th Annual IONA COLLEGE SPRING FEVER CLASSIC outdoor soccer tournament.

Get ready for the spring season by playing outdoors on the grass-like field turf surface at Mazzella Field, located at the center of the Iona College campus in New Rochelle, New York. The tournament is a seven-aside (six players plus a goalkeeper) round-robin. Each team will play at least 90 minutes in overall game time. Awards will be presented to the champions of each age group. The tournament dates are as follows:

Sunday, March 7th

8 AM - 1 PM : U11 Boys
1 PM - 5 PM : U12 Boys

Saturday, March 6th

8 AM - 12 PM : U11 Girls
1 PM - 5 PM : U12 Girls

Sunday, March 14th

8 AM - 1 PM : U8 Boys
1 PM - 5 PM : U13/14 Boys
U8 will also have a Co-Ed div.

Saturday, March 13th

8 AM - 1 PM : U8 Girls
1 PM - 5 PM : U13/14 Girls

Sunday, March 21st

8 AM - 1 PM : U9 Boys
1 PM - 5 PM : U10 Boys

Saturday, March 20th

8 AM - 1 PM : U9 Girls
1 PM - 5 PM : U10 Girls

Click Herefor a printable application to this tournament. The entry deadline is the Monday prior to the tournament date. The tournament fee is $350 ($300 for the U8 division) and must be paid in full by the entry deadline to confirm your team’s acceptance. Also be sure to make a copy of the check you send for your own records.No refunds will be given to teams that withdraw from the tournament after the deadline date of Monday prior to the tournament date.

The tournament schedule will be posted the Wednesday prior to the tournament on the Iona College Soccer websites (Men) (Women) . Directions to the campus can be found here. With such a high demand to enter, the sooner your entry fee is received, the sooner your spot will be secured and confirmed. Teams accepted to this tournament will be on a first come, first served basis. If you have any question please send your email to: springfever@iona.edu.

Answers to Frequently Asked Questions:
-Players can use flats, turf shoes or molded cleats on the Iona field turf—but not screw-ins
-Iona College is not responsible for materials left on the field.
-There will be a lost and found box located next to the score board.
-The games end at the buzzer, referees will not allow for extra time.
-Teams that field an extra player(s) will have a point deducted.
